Baby Charlie at Home | Lifestyle Family Newborn Session

This was the most precious lifestyle newborn session! Christopher and Chloe welcomed their first baby, a little girl named Charlie, this winter and we captured her newborn portraits when she was 4 weeks old. I traveled to Natchitoches to their beautiful home by the canal for this session, there is something so special about capturing newborn photos where you brought home your first baby! Did you know, I may be based in Shreveport, but I can travel up to an hour away without a travel fee.

Baby Charlie slept so well being an "older" newborn, a month old is generally thought to be a little older for newborn portraits (in the newborn photography world) but in my opinion any time within those first few weeks is perfect! They grow so incredibly quickly, it is so worth preserving these special moments that are so fleeting. They are only so small once, I've never heard any regret having these moments captured.

Charlie's nursery was beautiful, all the classic touches and the soft colors were perfection and the photographed like a dream. Chloe did an absolute fantastic job on choosing outfits, her floral dress was so stunning and she looked absolutely gorgeous! Christopher wore a white button down which paired perfectly with her gown. Towards the end of the session, Chloe requested to dress baby Charlie in simple embroidered bloomers and a white knit bonnet and it made all my dreams come true! If you know me, you know how much I adore classic and traditional southern baby clothes so I was in heaven, me and Chloe bonded over our love of classic baby clothes. Kindred spirits!
