Baby Sutton | Lifestyle Newborn Session at Home | Family of Five

Writer: Carson Carson

This was the prettiest, girly, and ballerina themed nursery fit for a sweet baby girl! Baby Sutton has two older brothers who adore her and it was so special to capture their first family photos as a family of five.

The first time I met this sweet family I photographed Conrad as a newborn, who is now a big brother (fun fact: his newborn session from a few years ago was featured on the blog as well.) It was so fun to see how much he has grown since I saw him last as a tiny newborn! This is one of the kindest families I've had the chance to photograph over the years so I was thrilled when Madison reached out to capture her third baby's newborn photos.

This family was so welcoming and open to all my prompts and ideas, I always have the best time hanging out with them and making precious memories. Sutton's mama, Madison, danced ballet for a number of years so when she found out she was having a daughter, she knew exactly what she wanted. Sutton's soft pink ballerina themed nursery was the cutest nod to her mama's love of dance! I loved photographing all the details and personal touches she incorporated throughout her nursery, like her well worn pair of pointe shoes that she hung up next to the rocking chair

Even better than the decor of your home is the energy and love you share as a family! Madison and her husband are so easy-going and calm, even during chaos and moments of silliness, which is super important during a photo session with two curious and energetic boys! I always encourage parents to let the older kiddos lead the session, since we want them to have a good time as well and make fun memories! Kids will be kids, so I always encourage them to be themselves and be silly so we can capture their personality during the session. Sutton was so sleepy and content during her first close up, she didn't seem to be phased at all!

I loved this session so much, it was so tough narrowing them down, enjoy!
