This was the absolute sweetest couple, I adored getting to know them while photographing their outdoor maternity session this past winter shortly before they welcomed their precious baby boy in the spring. We captured their maternity photos on a slightly chilly, but otherwise beautiful sunny day in Feburary at Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, La. The golden light was just gorgeous and a photographer's dream! Connor and Bethany were such troopers with the wind, but they managed to laugh and giggle anyway. They made my job so stinking easy, they were so easy-going and went with all my crazy ideas and prompts!
My goal as a photographer is to always try to make you feel at ease and comfortable in front of the lens as I can, so that your images come away looking and feeling like you. Remember, a photo session is more than just what you look like in this moment in time, it's about preserving all the feelings that come with the anticipation of what's to come (in this case, welcoming a new baby) and really cherishing these memories while you are in them. Time goes so quickly and I know these images will only be more precious as time passes. Anyhoo, sorry about my cheesy ramblings, enjoy these lovely images!
