Porter Family | 6 Month Milestone Session | National Red River Wildlife Refuge

I had the best time hanging out with this sweet family this past fall and documenting baby James turning 6 months old! He showed off his new skill of sitting up on his own and brought all the smiles and giggles to his milestone session. It is such a joy to watch all of your sweet babies learn and grow, even if it is a little bittersweet!

This fall day was a little overcast and drizzly, but we made the best of it and created some really beautiful and sweet images anyway! We met up at the National Red River Wildlife Refuge in Bossier, it has beautiful walking trails and trees that provide a variety of backdrops for photos. These were taken on the levee and the soft, cloudy sky just lit up James' blue eyes. I couldn't stop capturing how deep and soulful they were; he captured my heart (and my camera, hehe!) I couldn't help but share some black and white images here too, my favorite images are often in color, but I always include images in black and white as well in the final gallery.

Of course, some of my most favorite images are of mama and baby snuggling together, there is nothing more precious in my eyes. We captured some really sweet images of dad and baby together too, dads aren't left out of all the fun! ;) At the time I am posting these, James is already about to turn one, how is that possible?! No matter how quickly time passes, this family will always have these precious memories and images to hold on to. I had the best time documenting James's first year, thank you Porter family!

Enjoy!!
