Welcome Cameron Elizabeth | Lifestyle In-Home Newborn Session

You might recognize this adorable family from previous sessions I've featured on the blog, I had the honor of capturing Gray's newborn and one year sessions a couple of years ago; it's so hard to believe he is now a proud big brother to a baby sister! Baby Cameron was so sweet and adorable for her newborn portraits last fall. She didn't want to miss a thing at the beginning but with a little milk and a full tummy she went right to sleep. Which is what I know we all hope for, but I love that we were able to capture some awake shots too!

Her nursery was a joy to photograph and absolutely stunning, the pale pink walls and soft color palette is just beyond precious for a baby girl. It was the perfect backdrop for this sweet family's first official photos as a family of four. Also, I applaud this mama for choosing outfits that complemented the soft colors and surroundings perfectly, it tied everything together!

I loved how we were able to capture the contrast and juxistaticn of a calm sleepy newborn and an energetic, curious toddler. Toddlers can be tricky to photograph sometimes but I usually have a few tricks up my sleeve of my own, and keeping it light and fun can definitely help too! I know young kids/toddlers have short attention spans and minds of their own, so I try to get most of the family and sibling images at the beginning so they can play and be themselves afterwards. Your toddler isn't the first (or only one) who isn't a fan of photo sessions, trust me! Regardless of how a session unfolds we usually manage to capture your current season of life and that is the beauty of family photography, it keeps me on my toes for sure. Embrace the imperfections and we will come away with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for having me, B family!

I hope you enjoy!
