Madeline Grace | Lifestyle Newborn Session in the Studio

This newborn session from last year was full to the brim with love and sweetness, I just adore this beautiful family. I had the pleasure of meeting this precious couple a couple months before their baby girl's arrival when I photographed their maternity session last winter (you can check it out here!) It was wonderful to get to see them again, this time with baby Madeline in their arms. Brielle, Madeline's mama, nailed their outfits--they were pure perfection! Her pale green dress was so soft and feminine and paired with her husband's solid white tee and jeans, it was the perfect balance between dressy and causal. I love when mamas decide to wear long maxi dresses just because I think they are so pretty and flattering for a new mama. Doesn't she look so beautiful?! I know most new mamas are still recovering from delivery so when you feel beautiful and comfortable in you're wearing it always shows in the final product!

The soft pastel colors just make my heart sing and they photograph so well in my little white studio! In the winter/early spring months the sun shines directly into the windows and it is so beautiful. With each session in this space I try to find new and creative ways to capture each unique family in front of my lens; it fascinating to me how even though I've photographed families and newborns in the same space, no two sessions are the same and I love that! :)

Sweet baby Madeline did so well for her first close up and loved being held and cuddled during her session! At first she wasn't too happy with us (lol) but with a little swaddling, some milk, and lots of cuddles from mom and dad she drifted off to sleep and the result was pure magic. I really love capturing families with their first baby since it's such a life changing milestone and a new chapter in your lives.

I know with newborns, you don't really know what to expect since all babies are different and are their own little humans, each with their own individual personalities and needs so I always try to reassure parents that we will go at baby's pace during their newborn session and let them lead how the session will go. So don't worry if they are ever a little fussy or ever need anything we can take as much time as we need to make sure they are happy and content before we resume. I absolutely love how Madeline's newborn session turned out and I just adore them so much!

As always, I hope y'all enjoy all the sweetness!
