Max was a dream baby for his newborn session! We captured this precious family as a new family of five at my little natural light in-home studio when Max was only 14 days new, and I think they turned out so stinking gorgeous! These were captured on a beautiful sunny, summer day so the light was so pretty. This stunning mama did such a great job on their outfits, blue and white is such a classic combination and what a sweet nod to their new addition! I have been holding on to these images for far too long, they deserve to be shared! So many babies and families were in front of my lens this past summer and fall, it was quite the whirlwind but so much fun! I have been so terrible at sharing lately, hence me trying to catch up on blogging my favorites all this time later (6 months later to be exact--tell me again how time goes by so quickly?!)
I have the sweetest story to tell from this session. While I was photographing Max's portraits by himself (he was sound asleep) he giggled out loud and it was seriously the cutest thing ever! I've photographed newborns smiling in the past but I've never heard them actually laugh out loud before. Since it was completely unexpected I was so happy I was able to capture it when it happened! Be sure to scroll down and see it, it is definitely one of my favorites. And we got to talk about that gorgeous hair he has, he sure is a handsome little guy! :)
On another note, Max's newborn session is also extra special since it was the second time I was able to photograph him; the first time being when he came into the world. I was honored to be able to capture Max's delivery at the beginning of August last year and it was so special! It was the first birth I've photographed where the baby's gender was kept a surprise before delivery and it was worth all the suspense and anticipation. After two darling girls this family was thrilled to welcome a sweet baby boy into their crew and I am so happy for them! Max's big sisters are in love with their baby brother; Liv, who is the oldest, was the absolute sweetest with him. It was so cute to watch! The middle sister, Ada, kept us all laughing with her big and adorable personality; I love that these images capture it so well! I love capturing those unplanned, candid moments that unfold during a family session, they are the best! Max, you are so very loved.
